Dans le cadre de l’initiative IMAGINE, Energy Cities ouvre une série de webinaires sur les infrastructures et technologies. L’objectif est de fournir des informations et une plateforme pour échanger sur la vision et les solutions pour des villes à basse consommation.
Le sujet de du 1er webinaire est « Chauffage urbain et cogénération ».

On the path towards low energy cities, many steps lead the way. At the forefront, local solutions seem to be the most relevant approach. Energy efficiency and local renewable energy sources are the basis of the urban energy transition.
Within this scope, district heating is an effective solution. Already developed in many northern European cities, district heating is gaining interest in other parts of Europe as well, as an efficient, low carbon solution, which can fit well with local energy sources.
How do cities develop accordingly ? What are their experiences ? Is district heating a part of the future of cities ? How is the private sector responding ? What are the solutions for the energy transition ?
