WORKSHOP AND PLANT VISIT TOUR
SOLAR DISTRICT HEATING – A COST-EFFECTIVE TECHNOLOGY FOR EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES
16-17 MARCH 2011
This workshop’s objective is the facilitation of the development of new Solar District Heating plants in towns and villages, focusing on Southern and Eastern European ‘newcomer countries’. Various feasibility studies have shown a great potential for this technology e.g. in countries like France, Italy and Poland. During the plant visit tour in Styria realized Solar District Heating plants for diverse grid integration approaches will be presented by their operators. The workshop will be an international forum of exchange between interested and experienced decision makers and experts from heat suppliers, local utilities and local communities who face the challenge to make their district heating grids more sustainable. Graz is the perfect place for this workshop as very innovative approaches for integration of large scale solar thermal into large district heating grids were applied in this town.
Detailed workshop programme and registration are available on www.solar-district-heating.eu.
The workshop and plant visit tour are organised in the frame of the IEE project ‘Solar District Heating in Europe‘.
